Personal Success: Can you make it alone?

Several years ago I joined a business organization led by author and business consultant Loral Langemeier. Her book titled The Millionaire Maker is one that I recommend you read, if you haven’t already.
One of the quotes that she used during her seminar was “You have to do it yourself, and you can’t do it alone”.
I have found that quote to hold true in every facet of life.
If you are trying to reach the top 1% in anything, you are going to need help along the way. In my book, I have an entire section dedicated to the importance of saying “Please” and “Thank You”. Simply saying please and thank you whenever you require the assistance of someone else will greatly increase your chances of getting additional assistance in the future. I realize the simplicity involved in these words, yet I also know the importance of them and the lack of their use in daily conversation.
Everyone teaches their kids to say “please” and “thank you”, yet very few people practice what they preach. Regardless, this is one ESSENTIAL step that you must take right now to move towards where you want to be.
As Loral says, you CAN’T be successful alone. To reach your potential, you need to not only gain the help of others, but you must inspire them along the way with your vision for what is possible.
At the same time, the real work must still be done by YOU! You have to put in the extra effort. You must be willing to sacrifice your comfort zone to achieve your potential. You need to be willing to go the extra mile each and every day to achieve your goals. And without question, you MUST be willing to Become the person that you need to Become in order to do the things you want to do in life and have the things you want to have.
When faced with your next challenge, or when faced with the possibility of taking action or being complacent, remember Loral’s quote.
Enlist the help of others to help you reach your goals, and at the same time, be willing to take immediate action yourself to do what you are capable of doing in order to reach the top.

My little princess already sets some high standards
If you want to become unstoppable, you need to elevate your standards.
What I mean is that you need to do your best at all times regardless of what everyone else is doing. If you decide to take it easy most of the time because your friends, your family or you coworkers do, you will never reach your potential.
Look at what your friends, family and coworkers have. Look at what they do. If they don’t have what you want, then don’t do what they do. If you don’t want to become the kind of person that they are, then don’t allow yourself to slip into their routine.
Much of the world is broke, unmotivated and wasting their time on Earth. Don’t be like them.
Instead, choose to elevate your expectations and hold yourself to a higher standard. Choose to do what successful people do. If you have a friend, family member, boss or coworker that is ultra-successful, you will undoubtedly find that they don’t do what everyone else does. They know what they want, they know what they have to do to get it and they do what’s necessary to pay the price for achieving their dreams each and every day.
Elevate your standards today and you will be on your way to getting more out of life by giving all you have to it.

Business Success: Hustle To Your Best

I hope this message finds you hustling towards your goals. When I started my first business, this one quote got me through the first several months. As with most businesses, mine was slow to get started. I had huge goals in mind and a monster vision of what I wanted the business to become.
But for the first several months, we were not even close to where I wanted to be. I came in every morning and read this quote to my one employee before we started the day. I knew that if we could just focus on the right projects and work hard enough while we were waiting for the business to get moving, that we would be able to reach our goals.
Years later, we are still hustling towards bigger achievements, but the original goals that I had when I first began in business have been surpassed many times over.
Looking back on how the business has gotten to where it’s at today, I give much of the credit to following the advice of this quote. We hustled while we waited.
Whether you are an employee looking for a better position or a better job, or a business owner looking to grow your company, make sure that you are hustling towards your goals while you wait for the results you are wanting.
Unstoppable Success occurs when people take advantage of every moment in their lives to help reach their potential. It’s true in life and is true in business.

One of my favorite bible verses states that “To whom much has been given, much is required.”
You have already been given everything that you need to reach your potential. You have more than enough talent already.
Now is the time to put your talents and all that you have been given to work. Too many times people think that they need to wait for the perfect time, the perfect circumstances, the perfect ecoonomy, the perfect “whatever” before they will start on their journey towards achieving their dreams.
The perfect time is now! The perfect circumstances are these! The perfect ecomony is this one!
Stop procrastinating and starting doing. Our days are numbered. There will never be a better time to start doing what you need to do to reach your potential than right now. You have everything that you need to get started this very moment.
Start doing something today to bring you closer to your goals and perfect things as you go. But don’t just think about it, DO it… and do it today!
If we can agree that you have already been given enough energy, enough talent, enough vision, and enough of everything else you need to be successful, then we must also agree that it is time to start “requiring” more of ourselve.
Today is the day to start using your talents and gifts to help others. Even though you’ve already been given much, when you require more of yourself and hold yourself accountable to reaching your potential, you will be given even more. Start Today.
