Business Success: Unemployment

Everyone is constantly being bombarded with news about the unemployement rate.  The economic downfall is reported in every newspaper, every blog and every media outlet of every kind.

Whether you are an employer or employee, everyone is interested in job security.  However, as both an employer and employee, job security is not given, but rather is earned.

And not only is job security earned, but it can only be earned by YOU.  Your company, your employees, your employer, your customer/clients/patients, the government… none of them can earn YOUR job security.  No one is responsible for your job security but you.

Your security is earned by:

1.  Taking personal responsibility for your own actions.

2.  Taking personal responsibility for your roll in the company.

3.  Being the absolute best at what you do.

The greatest asset to any business or organization is the person that can never be replaced.  This doesn’t mean the person who understands how to do their job, yet keeps it a secret from everyone else in an attempt to become irreplaceable.  This means the person that is willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done.

This means that the person is willing to go the extra mile without having to be asked, persuaded or forced to do so.  This is the person that is willing to show up early and stay late when needed.  This is the person that continually supports the business/organizational mission.  This is the person that refuses to give up.

Becoming this person does not guarantee that you will always have  a job with your current company, but it does guarantee that you will always have job security.

Why?

Because this kind of person is needed in every position in every business.  If you can become the kind of person that can quickly become irreplaceable, then you will never be long without a job.  This is the kind of person for which thriving businesses are continually looking.

If  job security is a priority for you right now in this economy, then become irreplaceable by becoming an asset to your business.  Business owners, employers and employees alike must take personal responsibility and be the absolute best at what you do if you hope to have security in your job.

You were put here for a purpose, you are greater than you realize and your future will be filled with unlimited opportunities when you decide to become unstoppable.
